Hello and Greetings to all FMF MTP 06 Staff and Teachers:
Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful spring and getting ready to meet in Sanfrancisco. Here in Las Vegas, we went from having a heater in the office last week to a 90 (f) degree the next day!!! But Nevada is Home!!! In spite of the heat, our students really enjoyed the Bugs and Soil Search, and this hands-on experience was a reinforcement of the Scientific method they have been studying theoretically in their regular classrooms. Since we have no high Grass areas in this environment, I let the kids select an area in the school yard where long grass would grow. Please see attachments. More will be posted later. Our students are very excited about this partnership, and they are working very hard on completing their anime drawings to send to Kogo Junior High School. They have already completed #400 paper cranes to send as their message of peace and friendship. Thank you, everyone!!!!! Azita
