We had a great conference in January. Miyagi School students taught the ISD students about Japanese ghosts and creatures. The presentation style was a lot of fun. The Japan students drew the creatures on the whiteboard. The ISD kids remarked at how well the Miyagi students could draw! They think it might be because they have a symbolic writing system instead of an alphabet. At least they were thinking. I don't remember any of the names of the creatures because they were difficult Japanese names. A favorite of the students was a creature that is a wall and walks around with dry wall tools! We also felt that the Snow Witch was visiting us since it was snowing during the conference.
